What happens to the calls you miss?
Last updated · Mars Network Services, Tampa Bay and Palm Coast, FL
A missed call is a customer who now has to decide whether to wait for you or call someone else. Mara answers instead of voicemail, day and night, so the caller gets an answer, an appointment, or a person, and your team gets a text with the details.
Count the calls you miss
You don't need a study to know your number. Your phone carrier or phone app keeps a call log. Look back two weeks and count:
- Calls that rang out or went to voicemail.
- When they came in: after 5 pm, weekends, lunch, while you were on a job.
- How many of those callers left a message, and how many you called back the same day.
Then ask what one of those calls is worth to you. For many service businesses, one new customer covers several months of Mara.
What Mara does with a call you would have missed
- Answers in your business's name and says she is an AI assistant.
- Answers routine questions from the facts you approved.
- Books the appointment into your calendar (Phone Plus and up).
- Transfers the caller to a person live when they need one.
- Takes a message with the details and texts the right person on your team.
We run on it ourselves
Our own main line, (386) 359-4179, is answered by Mara. Call it and hear exactly what your customers would hear.
Questions
Does Mara answer every call or only the ones I miss?
Your choice. Most owners forward only the calls they can't get to: no answer, busy, or after hours. You still pick up when you can, and Mara catches the rest.
Do I need a new phone number?
No. You keep your business number and forward it to Mara. Stop forwarding any time and calls ring the way they did before.
What does my team see?
A text with the caller's name, number and reason for calling, plus the booking if Mara made one.
Is there a contract?
Phone-only plans are month to month, from $199 a month with a $299 setup.
